Let’s get down to brass tax here folks, Andy Immerman’s Time Capsule Mixes were chill house before chill house was cool. But it isn’t all in your face about it, and that’s because it doesn’t need to be. A sentiment largely perpetuated by the latest addition to the series #29. Andy’s impeccable ear for production blends seamlessly with choice track selection to create a mix that simultaneously defines and progresses a genre. In a way all of his mixes have served to remind us that house music is about keeping vibes not blowing up shows, but that doesn’t mean that those vibes can’t sound damn good.

Time Capsule Mix #29, is seasonally tasteful giving us the subdued tracks we need to make it through these waning days of winter. His gentle mixing and progressive tracks serve as a reminder that sunnier days are always around the corner. In its 29th iteration the Time Capsule series has always sought to preserve great tracks for a later date I’ll most definitely be pulling this one back out come spring, as the man himself says:

“A time capsule is a container storing a selection of objects chosen as being typical of the present time, buried for discovery in the future. I like to think of my mixes that way. Current music that could be rediscovered at a later date.”
